AWTeen's Recommendation
This month, I thought that I'd recommend to Mountain Myst a different
sort of building than has been featured in the past. On Friday,
3-Dimensional object rotation was enabled in AWTeen to compliment the
special commands that are already available. Unfortunately, after
sending a console message asking for submissions of buildings to be
featured, I received so many E-Mails notifying me of excellent
buildings that it was impossible to make a decision among them.
Seiya Faye is a relatively new face around AWTeen, but has
accomplished more than many builders have in several years. She won
a building contest sponsored by the AWTeen Building committee just a
few days ago, which is why I feel that it's only fair that her
building be featured in this month's newsletter.
Located at 1308.78N 1364.14W, Seiya's creation features some
interesting applications of new 3.3 commands. The entire building is
rotated in some way or another, creating graceful curves previously
thought impossible. Pulsating lights using the corona command add to
the beauty of this scene. In Seiya's own words:
"This build that I made using the all new 3.3 rotate
and corona abilites surprised me even. I had found
that my creative abilites were even more expanded with
3.3 The build was made using a new type of support and
new type of roofing, consisting all of the new
rotates. Getting the rotates perfectly aligned was a
challenge, and I found that though it was difficult,
there are many wonderful things that can be designed
and built. This build was something I came up with as
I built it, I started out just experimenting with
these new rotates and found out I can almost build
designs that i only dreamed of, perhaps 3.4 will fill
that perfectly for me. I had no assistance in this
project, but my inspiration came to me from all the
other builders who are very friendly and sort of look
up to me at futuristic design. All in all I believe
with a little practice, 3.3 rotates can become very
useful in the right hands."
