Oklahoma Traveler: 3rd place

Third-place winner.
Creation: The Eighties. Builder Oklahoma Traveler. score=87.85

This build is a sampling of video games from the 80's. If you enjoy retro then this one is for you. It's a fine example to show just how far technology has come in such a short time.

Now a shout out to a few others that I felt were real winners as well; there is a wonderful pool of talent to be seen. Be sure visit all the contest sites.

MC Rider

One of our favorites was the Oz ride. The builder is MC Rider, and this fun site takes you on an exciting ride thru the stages of the film The Wizard of Oz. The ride is a real treat. Be sure to watch out for flying monkeys. If it all get to much, just click your heels and say there is no place like home.

To the top

Earthcritter

Next up is a fun little build built by Earthcritter This Tunnel of Love Swan boat ride is very much what you would have found in so many amusement parks back the early 20th century. Filled with humor, ride this with a friend and prepare for good giggle. or a sneak cuddle.

Stayjit's build

Ahh, and next up I have to say gave it me a bit of a fright. The build is called Jurassic Node G3675a. Its creator/builder is Stayjit.

Be warned, the animals bite!! So for this little bear it was a challenge to enter, but once thru the gate I was intrigued by the menagerie of awesome. I made my way, legs shaking, across the bridge and entered the teleport shaft. Spoiler alert... only to be transported to a scary Tech facility below ground. Well, let's just say it was an eye opening site, one I shall not soon forget. So if you're brave be sure to explore this imaginative site.

Vera's house

Next is one of this bear's personal favs. Sorry to say this image does not show the real visual beauty of it. This is a is fine example of streamlined architecture. The build is a residential estate, with clean lines and perfect proportions, everything a 21st century house should be. Personally I'm ready to put an offer in on this place right away.Who you may ask is the creator of this perfection: none other than our own Vera. To miss this fine example of what one can do here in ActiveWorlds would be a crime. So take my advice be sure to visit this lovely home.

To the top

Ciena's clone plant

Moving to the next build site, it turned out to be another exercise of this bear's courage. The build, it turns out, is a cloning station. The builder is Ciena. Now what this bear wants to know is how such a sweet lady came up with this scary place. Hidden depths I guess lol. But all joking aside, this was a wonderful adventure even if it did make me a bit shaky. You enter this most realistic sci fi looking building, all seems well at first and then: well spoilers you will have to find the courage to explore this one on your own. If I were you I would not go alone.

To the top

Stanly's Phillipine village

Next up is a bit of history. The build Casa Tribunal circa 1899 Malolos City Luzon, Philippines. The builder:Stanly. This is a lovely recreation with fine detail and another example of the diversity of projects that can be executed in AceiveWorlds if you have the skill and the desire to do so. So many historical places have been lost around the world, and here we have an opportunity to share this vast collection that which must be saved and revisit what has been lost. Thank you Stanly for teaching us all about some place new.

To the top

Mike's Christ the Redeemer

Another recreation of an out world site was the build Christ the Redeemer. This is based on the 2300ft tall sculpture that stands on the Corcovado mountain looking over the city of Rio de Janeiro. The original was started in 1922 and completed in 1931. The EBTS site was created by the builder Mike. The detail on this recreation of the sculpture is not to be missed. Again this is an image that does not reflect the true skill of this build. This is a fine example of object use to create Art.

To the top

Typor's city

And now we have a bit of fun with scale. This cityscape is a creation of the builder Typor, and gives you the opportunity to feel like the 50 man or woman. Have fun stomping the city.

To the top

Chocolateberry & Smaug's house

And now what you have all been waiting for: a build with real bang for the buck. The build creators are Chocolateberry and Smaug. The architecture of this site is a bit like a Frank Lloyd Wright building, a place filled with pattern and creative lines. But that is only the start; once you have toured the inside, go out side and find the big red button. For safety and best view be sure to stand back to the lot edge. And do what you know everyone one wants to do when they see a big red button. Push it, and marvel at the skill of this creation, oh and you might want to duck.

To the top

Enkii's Giza build

OK this next build is also a blast, but in a different way. This is a blast for the mind. Taking a trip really sums this place up. Enter the temple of Giza 1. Step on the teleport to engage your trip. That is really all I dare say, spoiler ya know. But after this one I was a new bear or at least a dizzy one. The builder is none other than the well seasoned Enkii. Do not miss this execution of mad skills. Explore this immersive environment and take your time to find all the surprises.

To the top

Apooka's Dream build

Last but certainly not least is the build done by My Boss Apooka with help from Ozman. Now do not think just because they are my bosses I feel I had to say anything nice. That is far from the case; in fact, I had to talk them into letting me put up pictures.

So here you go another creation not to miss. This build is all about dreams, and like dreams you never know what you will find. So take the time to really explore this build; surprise will be found round every corner. There is even a nice boat ride into the realm of the merwen, magick stones to trigger wonders for the eyes and ears and more. But spoilers for sure if I tell much more. So explore and enjoy the adventure. If you think you have seen it all, trust me you have not...

To the top

And in closing I just wish to say thanks to Ciena and Bach and the others who made this contest possible.. I say well done and look forward as I am sure everyone else is to seeing what events come in the future.

That is all this visit.
See you around the Universe.
