Get to Know Your Neighbors!

We think it would be great if everyone got a chance to get to know some of the volunteers in the community and to find out why they love AW so much.

This month we meet jadedaemt, possibly better known as PK 53.

PK Safety Tip: It is stupid but it happens. Never give out personal information such as a full name, address or phone number on a crowed GZ in public chat. It's a virtual universe and there are virtual jerks. You don't need one following you home. Not to put a fine point on it…never ever give a credit card number.

Jadedaemt discovered AW initially as a free 3D Chat plug in from Juno jadedaemt had a platinum account with them. Like many of us he mulled around as a tourist, and then obtained a citizenship. Officially he became a citizen in April of 2001.

He entered the Peacekeeper Academy in November of 2003 and after dealing with many real life issues, jadedaemt pulled through and graduated Peacekeeper Academy in June, 2004.

When asked why he joined the Peacekeepers he said, "As a Paramedic, I often times intervene in situations that are not always medically related at all…such as disputes. The idea of being a part of keeping everything at a happy medium is very appealing. People deserve to enjoy their online experience without much disruption and there are a number of people who need help beyond whether or not they're being harassed. People would like to know how to fully enjoy their AW experience, and I take pride in being part of a team that is able to help them."

He likes being a PK because he is, "Just walkin' my beat in the neighborhood". His patrol time is normally 1600-1800 VRT on Tuesdays, but because of the erratic schedule for physical therapy, he some times "floats", patrolling when time permits…Most people can catch him anytime :

His voice is one that many may have actually heard because he that familiar voice, jadedaemt on ActiveWorlds Virtual Radio.

He has a world called Reavers (a P-10 3D Homepage, to be exact). The theme is constantly changing so visitors just have to come and see for themselves and Reavers is Tourist enabled.

Primary interests outside of AW for jadedaemt are, in his own words, are, "I am an avid builder of computers. I also enjoy martial arts, Tom Clancy Books, body boarding, street racing, gadgets, Japanese Anime, and writing short stories."
