Avatars 2002: avatar submissions for the Avvy Awards Contest

The Avvy Awards staff will accept submissions from Saturday October 25th until Friday November 8th midnight VRT (i.e. Saturday 26th 2 a.m. GMT).

It is very important that you read the conditions and requirements at https://www.ccon.org/conf02/aw/avvyawards2002_aw.html before making and submitting your avatar even if this is not the first time you compete, because some of them are different to those of previous years. On that page you will find a short description of the categories, and a link to the submission form.

The winners will be announced in the weekend of January 3rd, 2003, during the Avatars 2002 three-day festivities celebrating the eleventy-first birthday of J.R.R Tolkien, in the Av02avvy world of the ActiveWorlds universe. The ceremony will be broadcasted live in other worlds and universes.

Avatars 2002: object designers and modelers

The Avatars Conference on January 3rd-5th 2003 will take place in three worlds of the Active Worlds universe: Av02, Av02art and Av02avvy. In the main 2000x2000 sq.m. world, Av02, will try to depict various themes of J.R.R. Tolkien's stories: a Hobbit village, one or two Elf dwelling places, the West Gate and mines of Moria, Saruman's Isengard. We welcome help to design and build all this as a community project.
