It is been an interesting month in Washington, DC! First the nation's capital was shaken by a 5.9 earthquake. Unfortunately the national building Museum where the Festival of the Building Arts will be held on 17 September 2011 took some damage. Hurricane Irene followed up a couple days later and did not really help the structure either. The good news is that the Festival for the Building Arts, "the Big Build," is still on schedule. The event will take place from 9:30 in the morning until 2:30 in the afternoon Eastern Standard Time.
Several world owners have volunteered to give tours and there are still several openings available. If you would like a timeslot please visit JDsDemo world to see what's available, then gram Lensman or e-mail lensman64@aol.com. The schedule board is located at the end of the re-created "Great Hall". If you plan to be building on the day of the event please send coordinates and my avatar will visit along with several hundred people who will be watching Active Worlds projected on a screen in the great Hall in The National Building Museum.
