Honoring a Treasured Community MemberWritten by SweetSuzie and courtesy of Zandorfa's Friends Some years back when Active Worlds was in its early years a lady came from another universe to see what this AW was. She entered the Active Worlds Universe and soon made it her home. There was no turning back! Active Worlds had enticed her and enthralled her. Zandorfa entered the lives of many people in this online community. Always assisting people wherever she could. Contributing her hours online to the community and those around her. In late 1997, Zan worked closely with another citizen, Moria, at the beginnings of the GateKeeper organisation. There she took an active role for many years, participating as an Executive team leader, a Team Leader and as a GateKeeper. After stepping down from the GateKeepers, she continued her work, alongside her close friend Weebo, guiding and assisting newcomers; anything that got people together and made the online community of Active Worlds more exciting and real. Excelling in World Management and teaching. Zandorfa, also known as Weebette, took great personal pleasure in being helpful. Never asking for credit or recognition, she went about her tasks professionally and with dignity. She shared the skills she had learnt in Active Worlds and taught them with patience, encouragement and respect. It would take months to list all her achievements and all the things we should give her credit for. Words cannot give justice to this lady and certainly cannot describe the impact on the many people she touched during her time with us. Sadly, after a long fight with her health, she passed away. She did not leave us as her memory and her contributions are all around us. There is a place deep inside those of us that were fortunate to meet her that will be carried with us for the rest of our lives. Treasured memories of a lady who was a kindred spirit to all those she so deeply touched. "Zandorfa Tuesday, 17-Nov-98 10:56:51
