We are pleased to announce this year marks the renewal
of the event. June 24, 2006 at 8:00 VRT.
The event's theme this year is "Transition to the
Future". This event is by the citizens and for the
citizens of Active Worlds. It is a wonderful gathering
place for all to celebrate the past year's accomplishments.
Nominations Until June 3rd!
Our new nomination system is self explanatory when you
login to the system. Citizens will be asked to enter CyAwards
World and get a password from a bot. It will log your
citizen number and name. This password and your citizen
name are used to log into the web site when you will choose
what category to nominate.
You do not have to fill out all of the nominations at
once. The system logs your work and you can come back
and forth until the nominations are closed. Those who
log in and have been nominated will have the opportunity
to add their own comments to that nomination before it
is reviewed for the voting sequence.
Voting Begins June 10th!
Voting will require you to login using you id and password
(If you forget the password, go to the bot once more and
get a new one). This area will be open during the dates
that voting is open. This year you will have seven days
to do so. Remember to provide all the information you
can such as builder or owner name, coordinates if necessary
to the area and name of world. This allows us to setup
teleports and information for others to review the nomination.

A pre-ceremony party will be announced for citizens to
come into world and preload the cache. This will make
it faster and easier for those attending the ceremony.
This occasion helps mark a change in 2006 where citizens
will have more community event choices than ever before.
It is truly great to see this happening in Active Worlds
and the Cy Awards are proud to be part of it.
