AW Reunion 2001
What?! You thought it was too late to sign up for the AWReunion in Las Vegas later this month? Absolutely not! :) Why in just a few weeks we are going to be having the time of our lives in Las Vegas - getting to know fellow AW friends, meeting a number of the Active Worlds staff, attending really cool seminars, hitting a number of Vegas hot spots - and we'd LOVE to have you join us! The seminars that we have lined up for you are going to be: LIVE! Tech Talk with Roland - This weekly event that has been taking place with Active Worlds' Lead Developer Roland Vilett for over 2 years now, will be held live and in person at the AWReunion. This is an informal chat session with topics that range from current to future versions of Active Worlds, as well as the current state and future of online 3D technologies in general. Community Town Hall with E N Z O - This is your opportunity to visit with Active Worlds' CEO Rick Noll and other involved Active Worlds' users. Here you will have a chance to ask questions regarding the development and direction the Active Worlds technology might be heading; and also have the opportunity to share ideas and visions that you feel might enhance the Active Worlds technology and community. Truespace 3: Avatars and Object Making - One of Active Worlds' leading artists Gary Holgate (maybe better known as Gand) is going to be on hand to help users become familiar with the Truespace 3 program and provide them with useful tips on Avatar and Object Making. Building for Others: Commercial Prospects - How can you turn your newly acquired building and object making skills into profits? What does it really take to successfully build for others? With a long proven track record of doing that and more, Graham Evans (some of you old timers will remember him more affectionately as Moria) will share his experience and tips on how to do just that! Some of the FUN group activities that are currently being considered and planned are:
