DJBOT Rocks The AWGATE and ATLANTIS
Active Worlds Software Development Kit (SDK), and a whole bunch of MIDIs,
and you get [DJBOT] the latest solution to the problem of updating the
music at your nearest GZ. You could stop by Atlantis or AWGate and check
out the [DJBOT]'s playlist. Also, if you had suggestions for MIDI's you'd
like to hear, you could email your URLS in!
A Galaxy All Your Own?
In 1998 the starting price for a Galaxy was $1,995. This was an idea for
businesses. They could designed a stand-alone World separate from the
Active Worlds Universe of Worlds. This product gives to the administrator
full configuration control over the World. All servers start with 1 million
square meters of virtual land and price is based on number of simultaneous
users and land size.
World/Site of the Month
World/Site of the month returned as a regular feature in the Newsletter.
Hamfon had graciously volunteered to help set up a voting system, which
would be implemented in the coming months.
From the AWEC Calendar
Some community events were:
Nov. 1st Great Mall of China Grand Opening
Nov. 21st Avatars 98 Inside Cyberspace (AV98)
A’tuin Treasure Hunt
Tours of Mundo Hispano - Spanish and many more!
The AWTeen World Project
Imagine a world where Teens are in charge of things? Sound like heaven
to you? In response to the requests from ActiveWorlds younger users to
have a space where they can have a say in how it is run, and can act as
their own monitors and greeters, ActiveWorlds set up a world called AWTeen.
Under supervision and guidance from some of our adult community members,
the teens will be developing their own community focused on their needs
and interests. If you were under 18 and interested in participating in
the AWTeen World Project all you had to do is contact Lucrezia Borgia
for more information.
