Agent1's AW Recommendation

Alpha Phalpha Island AW 7647N 7571W

This is a slightly less "fun" build for me to suggest, but I still think it would be nice if people could check it out. Alpha Phalpha Island held no less than 35 people at 7:00PM VRT on Oct. 28 while we all gathered to send Alpha Phalpha our love and healing thoughts. It's a nice, calm, and generally relaxing place to visit. Sadly, Alpha was unable to win his courageous, one-year fight against cancer and passed away on that day.

There has been a card/memorial park set up for Alpha around AW 5980.3N 3051.3W 0.0a 94. There are so many, I had to find a place to let you teleport in that would give you a chance to download the surroundings a little before trying to move :) My apologies to those who sent in their builds for this month, but yours will be considered next month. If you haven't sent me a build to check out at all, send me an email.

Caring's Atlantis Recommendation

The Missing Castle Atlantis 314.9N 401.5W 0.1a 180
Not your normal castle. This one is special. You will have to see it to know why. It was built by Caring with help from Cara on some of the content. They hope you will take it to heart.

Canopus' Mars Recommendation

Mondo's Eastern Mars Center 0n 500e 0.1a

Mondo has built a luxury mall containing, among other ingenious creations, Spacesuits R Us, a Mars Exploration Gallery, the Total Recall Bar & Grill, and the Eastern Mars Conservatory.

From Valles Marineris Spaceport (30s 855e 9a) take the Tharsis Railroad to the Station on the north rim of Mount Pavonis (39n 490e 17.4a 120) and board the Tharsis Tour to Mondo's emporium. If you're arriving from Earth, there is a rocket direct to Valles Marineris Spaceport from the Orbiting Space Station (0n 953w 30.6a). Mount Pavonis is one of the three great Tharsis Volcanoes. Located directly on the Equator, it was the perfect site for a Space Elevator. Mondo's Eastern Mars Center is down on the Tharsis Plateau just to the north.

Zero Gallery Village (ZGV): The "living" artists' community 989n 20e 180

You won't find old dead masters here. Only living artists and their living works. Presently, we have approx 30 artists, each with their own, private gallery. Come browse the gallery lined streets and experience vastly different styles all in one place. ZGV isn't small, so expect to spend some time. Also be prepared to find no art snobbery here as well :) You can visit the website for ZGV here: https://www.fluxfire.com/aw.cofmeta.htm

Artist Call: We are always on the lookout for new artists to move into galleries in ZGV. If you are an artist, or know of one that might be interested, please contact us via the website or tgram jupytr.

Summerland Estates - AW 960.7S 5209.8E 90

This town has only been around for a couple months and it's already gathering a loyal following. With a humungous town center right at the entrance, everything in town can be reached easily. You can submit site locations for birthday sites in AW, or check out the landscaping demos. And they always throw the best parties! So check out Summerland Estates today and share in the fun!

AWCOMREG's Recommendation

RVRWorld

RVRWorld is a very nice looking world indeed, nice custom objects and a good theme. A little lag over here on a PIII500, 128mb Ram. It take a little while to load the world, but when you have done waiting, it is definately worth the wait. Go up to the welcoming center which is above GZ (Could explain the lag) and view their movie in their own cinema which basically tells you about the world and what's available to everyone. AWComreg sais check it out, it's worth the time.

AWTeen's Recommendation

The Price is Right

Many who regularly visit AWTeen are most likely wondering what happened to the winning building of our Halloween building contest that was held during the month of October. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, the results have not been tabulated, so the winning building will have to wait for another month. This month, however, I have chosen to draw attention to a feature that is more of an event than a building. The Price is Right is new to AWTeen, started in mid-October. The show is based on the game show shown every weekday on CBS. Its AW counterpart mirrors the television feature as closely as possible, and awards prizes to the contestant who manages to earn the most cash at the end of each session. Ethan Hunt, the event's coordinator, constructed the building as the site for the event. The Price is Right is held every Saturday at 3PM VRT. Anyone is welcome to attend, and contestants are chosen to participate from the audience shortly after the starting time. We hope to see you next Saturday to participate in this up and coming activity.

M u n k u y's Historical Recommendation

Site Name: "Cult of the Cataclysm"
Built: August 1, 1995
Builder: grover (#43)
Coords: AW 9S 225E

Well, as far as this site goes, it would be hard to write alot of details about it seeing as I'm not quite sure exactly what it is, or WHY it was built (some of the stuff people early on made don't make such sense, and often seem to be some sort of inside joke, not that that differs any today)... plus I haven't bothered to ask either :¬P

But I can tell you one thing... It's old (in AW terms that is, dating from August 1, 1995). Aside from the obvious (if it wasn't old, why would I write a historical recommendation about it?), it seems to be a rather nice, quiet place to look around, ponder, etc. And it's surrounded by various other curiosities in the event you get bored of looking at this one particular site (would I ever send you to someplace boring? I think not :¬D).

Also, it has other possibilities you may want to consider... Your last virtual cult not working out? This may be the one for you!

Besides being full featured, it comes with the added amenity of High Priest grover's divine and infinite knowledge! You can find High Priest grover floating in the sky above the vacant area in the center, near the vertical pentagram. You may him anything you wish to know (although I don't guarantee he will answer, statues don't seem to talk much :¬P).

So, take a few minutes to look at the "Cult of the Cataclysm" (and be prepared to chant) :¬)
