Lensman’s Teleport Maze Station of the Month

Lensman is a retired Peacekeeper and creator of the Teleport Maze. He won a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2006 CY Awards.

Teleport MazeVika Tae sg GS (that the builders name) built a Museum of Virtual Reality which happens to host Station 455 of the Teleport Maze. This recent build is well constructed with interesting architecture and landscaping. It is still under construction but quite extensive. There is a great deal to learn so bring your glasses because there are lots and lots of signs with facts about VR you probably didn’t know.

Teleport MazeIf you look at a map of Africa it looks sort of like a question mark. Station 451 is right next to a group of 11 information rooms that will provide an education on Africa that is much cheaper than going there. Built as a Proof of concept for the U.S. Government it is an example of something you can do with information from the 2D web using Active Worlds. This particular application of AW can not be done in other VR products which makes us kind of special in that regard. It might well be the future of VR on the web.

Announcement:  The Teleport Maze has expanded to 456 stations and the goal is 500 stations. If you would like your very own station (enhanced with 4.1) telegram Lensman or contact Lensman64@aol.com. The land requirement is a minimum of 3X3 walk objects or Landa objects (which is better) and if you want the station to blend with your build 5X5 is best.
