Kiwi: Thanks so much for agreeing to be interviewed.

 

GC: Happy to be here :)

 

Kiwi: Where from in the world?

 

GC: I'm from Northwest Alabama in the United States.

 

Kiwi: How did you find Active Worlds?

 

GC: I found AW through P3DC's Petz web site.

 

Kiwi: How long have you  been a citizen?

 

GC: Since March 1999 (almost 13 years).

 

Kiwi: Was Active Worlds your first virtual world experience?

 

GC: As far as I can remember.

 

Kiwi: How old were you when you joined?

 

GC: I was 9.

 

Kiwi: Wow that young! Do you hang out in any particular world in AW?

 

GC: I usually hangout in AWTeen.

 

Kiwi: Can you tell us a little about what you do in AW? Do you Build?

 

GC: I don't do too much nowadays other than talk, but I used to build in my city, Cypress Hollow, and I was a Caretaker of AWTeen for a while.

 

Kiwi: What keeps you in AW?

 

GC: Thats a good question, I'm guessing just to explore some of my old buildings, and update them and talk to a few of my friends who have stayed.

 

Kiwi: If you were given the job in Active Worlds to go out and sell AW, and told to bring in more citizens, what would be some of the things you would do?

 

GC: I would lower the citizen price back down to $20/year and start marketing it everywhere on the Internet.

 

Kiwi: What do you see as being the positive things that keep bringing you back to AW?

 

GC: The few friends I have that I have known for years.

 

Kiwi: What is your favourite thing to do in AW?

 

GC: Building and exploring buildings.

 

Kiwi: Are you working on anything special at the moment?

 

GC: Not at the moment.

 

Kiwi: How would you improve the CAV system?

 

GC: I don't use CAV's much, so I have no comment.

 

Kiwi: I was blown away with what you could do in AW when I first arrived. My first impression was how friendly people were. Apart from drama that happens, most people just want to help and have fun. What was your first impression when you first arrived?

 

GC: It has been so long I dont even remember, haha.

 

Kiwi: lol What things do you like to do in real life?

 

GC: I am a student at the University of North Alabama, and I enjoy shooting videos (sports/concerts).

 

Kiwi: If I asked you to describe yourself to me in one word, what would you say?

 

GC: Interesting.

 

Kiwi: Anything you would like to add here GC?

 

GC: I hope AW will be around for a while, if not active, I hope it stays around for nostalgia purposes for us who want to come back and see our work.
