Welcome to Who's Who in Activeworlds:) Courtesy of AlphaBit Phalpha February 2003 King BluemaxKing Bluemax joined Activeworlds as a tourist in 1997, registering as a citizen in 1999.He learned about Activeworlds while surfing the Net for altenative browsers. King Bluemax spends most of his time in AW building. His world is AKingdom. A world that is tourist enabled and open for building. AKingdom's theme consists of three cities, each with unique rules for building. It is rural at ground zero, and more dense further out.The thing King Bluemax loves most about AW is the virtual concept it offers. In real life King Bluemax lives in Norwich, CT, USA and is the owner of a small pc services business .In addition to work and play King Bluemax belongs to Radio Free Norwich Association (RFNA) at www.radiofreenorwich.comHis real life hobbies include computers and radio communications. He shares his real life with his lovely wife and 6 year old son, who has shown an interest in AW, but is a bit too young yet to grasp it:)When I asked him what he would wish for if he could wish for anything, his reply was "A world more stable for future generations". And when I asked him what one thing would he love to do, he answered, "To see all "7 Wonders of the World", close up, and confiscate a rock or two when he visited them....as keepsakes:) From King Bluemax..... "AKingdom world is my world, and I just did a cool new build called Downtown Dragon City. There is a teleport to it at my gz. It has a big park with treeforts and lots of animals in a neat parklike enviroment...Feel free to stop by my world and say Hi as im always looking to make new friends and meet people from different places." MassMass found AW in October of 2001 He became quite interested because it was something he had been looking for a long time....A 3D virtual net where you can chat in 3D and not in 2S flatscreen chatrooms Like yahoo or MSN chatlines What he spends most of his time doing in AW is working on his world (Mass.ind), helping his friends, and meeting people. His favorite worlds are TownSQ, Darkways, Lugia, and Vega. What he loves most about AW is his love for the 3D stuff and building Mass resides in the USA His favorite site on the Net is https://www.massindustries.homestead.com When asked what he would wish for if he could have any wish he replied "To win the lottery"...sounds like most of us eh?:) And when asked what he would do if he could do anything in the worlds....his reply "To fly" as a human...no planes attached! Gosh that's one of my wishes also:) kfkf joined Activeworlds in July of 2000. Before that he resided in Worlds Away where I has been a member since 1995. He discovered Activeworlds at the avatar conference in SFO. When asked what he spends his time doing in AW, his reply was, "Personally, I like most that one can spend a whole day working with AW...and it never gets boring. You can design landscapes...objects...textures...compose sounds...and program bot apps. There is hardly any other thing in which you can work in so many different fields. In fact, many 3d designers should start here rather than in a school When asked about his hobbies...."I am in the virtual community thing since 1977. In 1977 I was one of the pioneers of play-by-mail games in Germany (PBM Games). In 1995 I switched from pbm games to computer based virtual worlds...I like to meet people."
kf resides in Germany and some of his favorite places are Dracula world in AW and opendemocracy.net or democracyisyou.com .
His one wish is "Let me wish AW a long life :-)..and that is does not become a game software, but stays universal as it is :)"
If he could do anything he would "love to move to a nicer place...Mediterranean with sea property and sitting on a terrace and enjoy being in AW...oh, and inviting occasional travellers to stop by :)"
af's message to the AW Community...."I think the community puts too much stress on the building features and too little on the simulation and communication. There are so many worlds which are always empty...and so many worlds with 1 person only in them...lots of people live sort of alone...and the "community" is for the majority just a word, but not reality... I wish that more citizens would take a pause building and visit some of those worlds....and talk to the one person being in there :)
