Peacekeeper Tips

Peacekeeper Tips By now, many of you reading this have noticed that the relationship we have had in the past that Activeworlds Corporation headquarters recently changed.

Tom, the community coordinator, who was the primary interface between Activeworlds Corporation staff, user community occupying our universe is on extended leave and not currently available. However, Active Worlds has adjusted its web page so that its snail mailing address and telephone numbers are no longer published to the general public. I know many of us find this vexing having had the convenience of direct access to the staff at corporate headquarters in the past. The only contact available now is e-mail:

Limited Time

It is important to understand the Active Worlds universe we inhabit is not only one because there are literally hundreds of other universes sold and maintained by the Activeworlds Corporation. These customers are in fact providing the money it takes to run our universe. These employees are extremely busy because they are providing a service to other paying customers at the same time engaging in significant work to upgrade our current browser to something newer and better. There are only eight of them. This progress is due in part to our participation in the testing of new features not to mention the constant barrage of suggestions to improve the product. Nevertheless, without Tom, the staff literally does not have the time to spend on individual user problems.

Peacekeepers here for you

As a result of the lack of a community coordinator and the only viable way of reaching Corporation employees being email many may find this inconvenient even vexing. Fortunately most problems regarding garbage, harassment, and general nuisances can be handled by your friendly Peacekeepers. As you know, Peacekeepers were readily available even when Tom was around. The Peacekeepers are given their unique privileges by the AW staff and empowered to solve most user difficulties. Therefore, if you need immediate assistance with a problem, especially with another user, you are better advised to take it to a Peacekeeper. While we can't promise a solution for everyone, any problem presented will receive the attention of a Peacekeeper until it is resolved.

If you need to contact Peacekeeper use the following address: http://www.peacekeeper.net/contact.php

You can also speak with a Peacekeeper when one is on patrol or simply going to any patrolled world with global chat and asking if a Peacekeeper is available. Additionally if you check the Peacekeeper web page the left side of the page has a list of the active Peacekeepers with their badge number and citizen name. Anyone of these will be capable of handling your question or problem. If your problem cannot be solved by Peacekeepers it may be later submitted by the Peacekeepers directly to the Active Worlds staff for action and will have a stronger possibility of attaining results at that level.
