Some of you may remember the old Winter world. Unfortunately that wonderful place was lost long ago, but thanks to the hard work of Talisan a new and improved winter themed building world is now available for your pleasure. With wonderful objects, scenery, events and people you will find warmth in even the coldest corners of this amazing place.
Winter is also home to a unique and interesting building contest that will reward participants with prizes and V4 rights in some of your favorite building worlds. Thanks to Digigurl Yellow has been growing and growing everyday. Based on Yellowstone National Park, this fantastic and historical building world has new objects, themes, plenty of space to build, many activities and a lovely hostess. If you like building or just hanging out this is definitely a world you should visit.

DETOUR! Beware ongoing construction in the COFMeta building world!
Thanks to Ferruccio and others there are some fun things happening in COFMeta these days. With some fancy new textures and the “Primitives” object set there are now more building options and more on the way. In addition, work on a special Landing Zone is ongoing and some plots are available on a first come, first serve basis. To get one of these unique locations, please contact tom@activeworlds.com.
The 2008 Group Building Celebrations are about to begin!
To help celebrate all the new features we received in 2008 Flagg and his friends will be holding a special end-of-year celebration. This event will find users split into four groups, each with their own community leader and an entire quadrant from GZ to the worlds edge to create in. These groups will then compete in different building and feature-based categories for prizes, privileges, and fun. Watch the AW forums for event information, including the team leaders, prizes, and more.
AWTeen Needs YOU!
AWTeen has seen many changes over the years, however it remains one of the most popular building worlds with the largest object path of any AWI-provided environment. AWTeen has always been mostly run by community volunteers and the users of the world. This is no different now, but it needs more support. Mars Update Complete!
Thanks to the wonderful contributions from the contestants in the last EBTS contest the Mars world has recently received a major update. With a new landing zone and new objects to build with, Mars is now one of the more advanced building worlds in our community. Come join the fun and help colonize the red planet. There's plenty of space and air for everyone.

Thanks to our friends at www.awportals.com many new features can be found in some of our public building worlds. Make sure to check out the integrated web browser (F7) when visiting AW, Mars or AWTeen. Great features like build locations and object searches are now available from our partner's wonderful web sites.

Your favorite online pastime is back and better than ever! Join DMC2U and the gang for some old time bingo fun and great prizes every Wednesday at 5PM VRT. Also, don't forget CitBingo for Citizens with Citizen-donated prizes every Friday and hosted by the lovely Garnet and her team.
