VLearn3D 2001 -- "Knowledge Spaces"
Interactivity and Information Visualization in Virtual Worlds

Saturday December 1, 2001 10am PDT (1pm EST) to 2pm PDT (5pm EST) PDT In the Education Universe, AWedu in Cyberspace

VLearn3D 2001 is the fourth annual Vlearn3D conference in cyberspace. This year we will present three informal panel discussions and a keynote address on creating innovative and useful information spaces. The goal of the event is to explore the diversity and depth of rich, compelling knowledge spaces where collaboration, communication and interactivity can enrich the online learning experience.

THE SPEAKER TRACKS -

The tracks will feature working examples for the use of virtual worlds in education matching seasoned 3D world users and developers with educators and students poised to begin to use 3D multi-user environments into their own programs. Our speakers will come in from around the world to share their work with you.

  • Mentoring, counseling and tutoring in living knowledge spaces
  • Humans in cyberspace – exploring the humanities in rich, visual contexts
  • Learning tools for interactivity and dynamic data visualization in science worlds
