News from SW City

Often times when a user travels through a public building world, they will not stumble upon anything of interest beyond the random house that is nearly a decade old or a field of red, flashing, bouncing toilets. However in SW City this is far from the case. SW City is a virtual town in AlphaWorld that spans thousands of coordinates, hundreds of builders, and sports nearly every type of environment on earth.

SW City allows community participation through granting builders plots in the city through our Real Estate system. As a builder, acquiring a plot within a town is an interesting and unique change of pace because you get to build in a themed area that someone else upkeeps. And while that's all well and good; SW City takes it a step further. Through our in-world, city-wide game, SW City Interactive, builders who complete their lots will receive a 'Landowners Badge' in their Inventory, which will open up new game content specifically for residents of SW City.

If you're a citizen, and you are interested in building in SW City, we recommend that you stop by the SW City Real Estate Office (AW 2224.73S 3605.02E 0.05a 15) in Town Square Park. The Real Estate Office is an in-world guide to acquiring property within SW City, telling you who to go to, how to get there, and what kind of land we have available.

During the month of September we had a jump in activity, and we have recently opened new building areas:

Bueny PeninsulaBueny Peninsula is a new building area situated around the Museum of Architecture, the Peninsula's centerpiece. The area features oversized lots and no prerequisites to start building. This is property for everyone, and anyone who wants to build in SW City. The area is managed by Espilae.

Rising Glen Retreat is a new residential community in the Southern Highlands of SW City that is set to open this Sunday (October 7th) at 5pm VRT. The area is built within a wilderness paradise along the shores of the Irenic Ocean, and ideal for any builders looking to construct a home within the city. Rising Glen Retreat will be one of the first building areas to take full advantage of the new Landowner's Badges for SWI players. Upon completion of Retreattheir homes, landowners in Rising Glen Retreat will be able to interact with special elements in the Southern Highlands that are for residents only! This area is managed by Hyper Anthony.

If you want to participate in the grand opening ceremonies for Rising Glen Retreat, keep an eye on this AWForums thread for more information and coordinates to the area. Information for the location of the event will be posted before Sunday, October 7th at 5pm VRT. There will be plenty of fun and information for people wanting to check the area out, and even games for casual SW City Interactive players!

SW CitySW City is an expansive, dynamic town within AlphaWorld. The town has a staff of about ten people that are constantly active in projects within the AW Community. If you would like to visit SW City, it can be found at AW 2217.4S 3609.8E 180.  Its web site is swcity.net.
