Caring's Atlantis Recommendation

This is another one of Atlantis' beautiful builds. Built by Al Kemyst in the fall of 1998. Be sure to see this one located at 140.8N 107.3W 0.0a 95 in Atlantis.

Canopus' Mars Recommendation

Mars is a desert planet, so it is no coincidence that pyramids have been built in all the regions of Mars. Indeed, one of the earliest settlers, JonM , put up a glass pyramid to mark his vast landgrant at the North Pole (970N 993E). There are too many remarkable Martian pyramids to mention all of them, and this month's Hotspots are merely a selection of some of the best. Effemera (then known as Gwn) set the standard for stupendous monumental pyramids in the Pharaonic style (in the Al-Qahirah region at 324S 327W 180). AnnieH (953S 906E 180) and Xanthicus (666S 666E 20A) have constructed pyramids of architectural distinction, making trips to the Antarctic plains obligatory for all students of mystic symmetry (and while there, be sure to take a look at Avalon's elegant watchtower, 699S 680W 180). Not far from the Viking 2 Interplanetary Park (482N 652W 0.1a 270 --a pyramidal shield protects the twentieth-century relic) on the Utopia barrens, lies the final hotspot selection, a pyramidal residence designed and built by Pierced10X (498N 594W 90).

GooberKing's UTN Recommendation

Bilderville - AW 9001N 17200.5W 0.1A 313

When most people see the color command used, they tend to think that it makes the building flat and dull. Well, monke took the idea of color and turned it into one of the most interesting towns in UTN. Bilderville is literally covered with color commands, creating all sorts of geometric architecture and colorful patterns. It almost feels like being in Simple Geometry world! Residents are welcome to add to the colorfulness, or make whatever else their imaginations can come up with. So add some color to your life and visit Bilderville!

Duskbat's Historical Recommendation

Welcome to the SkyPlex. A future place of the past in your favorite world, Alphaworld! Back when, your AW friends would live, work, and play here in the SkyPlex. Residential Nodes are abundant and the industrial node is still kicking out what it kicks. A pot factory. Guess this is where all of Alphaworlds Pot.rwx's come from. this old site is a pretty simple build. Looks like lots nice vacant land near it for you to make your own version of SkyPlex. Until next time enjoy your tour.

AWTeen's Recommendation

I had always considered Wednesdays an excruciating day, but this article gave a new definition to the word “hard”. I finally arrived home from nine hours of tough courses to find that the ever-diligent Mountain Myst was trying not to embarrass me by kindly reminding me for the third time that I had to finish my newsletter articles. “It’s that time of month again?” I thought with dismay. Four hours later, I’m pleased with the result, albeit a bit exhausted.

Hey, isn’t one characteristic of a good leader knowing what to do yourself and what to delegate? In this case, I delegated my recommendation to Chucks Party, who wrote about his Crazy Party City. Well, since there’s no rest for the weary, I’ll cut this introduction short. Here’s Chucks’ recommendation, in his own words:

Crazy Party City is a brand new city in AWTeen being built by Chucks Party and CrAzY PA. This futuristic city with a large GZ area is the start of many teleports to different builds on AWTeen and has midis played by bot around the clock. The GZ area is white and purple with the new moon.rwx object rotating around over the center at AWTeen 1950s 1750w. I based my futuristic city on the moon.

The Ivory City is to the West of GZ and has a beautiful marble reflection effect at its center, a white futuristic looking office building on the south side, and a fantasy looking castle on the north side. It is meant to be a place for people to come and relax and day dream in this pure effect of the white and purple textures to sooth the mind and the spirit.

North of GZ is CP's Danceateria, a place with midis playing all the time by a bot. It is a futuristic design for a dance club. It has a dance floor and large standing area and an overhead balcony to look outside and down over the dance floor. Consisting of the new metal5, black, and black2, bubble, bubble2 and emulti textures, colors of purple, and a dance floor with an interesting red and purple film and lasers and spotlights rotating, these elements all come together to make this an exciting dance place that is not only meant to make the eye move and dance but your body too.

East of GZ is CrAzY PA's Danceateria and Town, another style of dance place with the new metal and gblue2 textures. It features a simple but effective design with full-length wall windows and a dance floor with rotating spotlights and a bar and balcony overlooking the dance floor. There is also a large two-story building with possibly a house to the North and a large lake to the South with lots of jet skis and other water vehicles. Behind the dance club is a Stonehenge done in CrAzY PA's favorite texture nuke; it looks very interesting against the cloud texture that is the textured ground that is also used on the new moon object at GZ. Further East is the start of a playground with many of the new objects donated by Lady Murasaki.

Future builds will be to the South of GZ. I also have plans to do many of my different kaleidoscopes here because all the 3.1 commands are allowed on this brave and exciting new world meant for all ages to enjoy. With it's changing backdrops and occasional rainstorms it definitely makes for a great place to build in this enjoyable environment close to emulating real life. The environment shifts to morning sunrise, noon, evening sunset, and then night. These are all part of the reasons why I chose AWTeen to start my first ever city in AW, Crazy Party City. Come see it today :)

Outdoor graffiti art exhibit. The warehouse type buildings have the artwork on the outside. There's some very cool 3D artwork here.

The CLC Recommendation

Town: Hicks Town
Mayor: Hicks8
Location: Alpha World 0N 2878W

As I am writing this recommendation a lot of things are going through my mind. Mainly: why am I recommending this town? The only answer I have been able to come up with is that Hicks Town possesses some of that old town beauty. Since it's founding in 1998, hicks8 has consistently been adding on to the town. As his building skills progressed, so did the quality of the town. The end result is a marvelous compilation of three years of work. He, and many others have been working tirelessly on this town, and I invite everyone to go and see their work. For more information on Hicks Town, or for a lot, contact hicks8 via telegram.

With pool clubs, chapels and Roman baths to name a few of the great structures, this world has all your needs covered. You can stroll down the tunnel of love, or stroll down a river to a pond.
