This month Kiwi chats with citizens ZANZ and Ridley.
Hi ZANZ and Ridley. Hey (((((Kiwi)))))))) Hiya Kiwi!!!
Kiwi: Welcome to you both. Thank you for agreeing to an interview.
ZANZ: I usually don't do interviews, but I hear you have V connections and since he's so hip I thought I would give it a try!
Ridley: Rolls eyes at Z... I am very glad to do this interview... anything for an awesome person like you!
Kiwi: lol thanks. Can I ask where your both from?
ZANZ: Born in Seattle, but raised in Virginia, USA.
Ridley: I'm from Georgia
Kiwi: How did you both find Active Worlds?
ZANZ: Years ago I met this woman on a chat site... and she told me about it, so we came and checked it out.
Ridley: Zanz and Cocoa introduced me to Active Worlds. They invited me to come check it out with them and that was all it took.
Kiwi: How long have you both been citizens?
ZANZ: It's hard to say... I have been a cit as ZANZiBAR... been expired and been back as ZANZ cause nobody wants to spell out ZANZiBAR... heck most people call me Z... maybe they don't want to spell out ZANZ either come to think of it. I guess 9 or 10 years... time flies when you're having fun.
Ridley: Like Zanz it's hard for me to say... I was RidleyJ for maybe two years ages ago... and this time around as Ridley it's been close to a year. So I guess three years for me.
Kiwi: Is Active Worlds your first Virtual World experience?
ZANZ: Basically yes... I strayed once, but not for long. Came back to AW cause my hamster drive at the time wouldn't run the other one.
Ridley: Yes.
Kiwi: Where do you both hang out?
ZANZ: Well that depends on the night... and what's going on... a very short list would be AWMIX07, Alpha, the Gate, and Atech... we also do a lot of exploring and friends often invite us to their worlds.
Ridley: We do go a lot of places... LOL I have to say my list would pretty much be the same as Z for hanging out, but we explore so many places, there's no telling where we could be on any given night.
Kiwi: Are you both builders?
ZANZ: Ummm can I move objects around... yes LOL I have built some stuff I'm proud of, but there are all levels of "Builders" in my opinion. It's fun to get in the zone though and create something.
Ridley: In the most basic terms, yeah I am a builder. There are so many people that are more skilled at building than I am but I am definitely among those who love to build! And I know I am going to kick myself tomorrow for saying this but, I am really glad that Z made me learn to build. (Kicking and screaming the whole time I might add!) It was not a pretty sight, LOL Quit smirking Z... I'd hate to have to smack you in front of all these nice people who are reading this interview. (Hide your eyes kids!)
Kiwi: Hahahha I have seen some amazing changes since I have been in AW, and love to see new changes. If you could change anything in AW, what would it be?
ZANZ: Actually I'm excited about the new CAV tech... and hope they continue to enhance it...
Ridley: If I could change anything in AW, I would change the number of folks that come in. I would triple it. I don't get why more people don't join the fun, they just don't know what they are missing!
Kiwi: How long have you both been friends?
ZANZ: Rid and I have known each other about 10 years... I met her on an MSN Chat site. (Ask Veger about the jungle story.) We then joined other chat sites... and then eventually AW.
Ridley: Like Z said, we have known each other for about 10 years. (Ignore Z, Don't ask Veger about the jungle story!) He is my best online friend and he's helped me through some of the hardest times in my life and I'll always be thankful for that.
Kiwi: I love seeing how much fun you have with the CAVs. What would you like to add to CAVs on your wishlist?
ZANZ: I think there is really no end to the upgrades that may come down the line for CAVs... whether it be era costumes or enhanced gestures... lately I just think I should add a cape and dagger. lmao arrrrrrrggggg
Ridley: I would love to see Z get his kilt and peter pan tights!!! Hahahahahahahaha. As for me... I want my short shorts back! LOL
Kiwi: What do you both do in here for fun when your not building?
ZANZ: You know what the most fun thing to do in AW is bar none... it's to go to AWMIX07 and have a party with all our friends. When you factor in the new CAVs, the dance gestures, PKTOONS and the chat to go with it it is by far the most fun thing to do in AW... let me yell out a thanks and a CHEERS to all of the people responsible for putting that together.
Ridley: I have to agree with Z, the Mix is the best place to unwind and have fun with great people. They are a blast to be with and they welcome everyone. I am so glad I met each and every one of them!
Kiwi: Can you describe yourselves in one word?
ZANZ: No way
Ridley: oooh ooh I can describe Z in one word!!!! (SMACK) *grins* Now for me... one word... (Awesome!) I wish! sigh... not even I can buy that one! okay how about... (Strange) ;)
Kiwi: lol One of the things I love the most is the friendliness of the people in AW. What would you say keeps you coming back?
ZANZ: You're right Kiwi... it's the friends we have now and the ones that we will meet... the laughs, the creative nature of building and the new adventures that lay ahead.
Ridley: What keeps me coming back is the great people in AW (psst SisSis: Wink Wink), the laughs that they give me, and the wonderful worlds that I love to explore. Oh yeah and if I didn't come back Z would hunt me down and drag me back kicking and screaming! LOL
Kiwi: Been great getting to know you both. Thank you for letting us get to know you better.
ZANZ: It's been great to get to know you too Kiwi... I was glad to do it.
Ridley: Thank you, it was my pleasure, I would gladly do anything I could for you. You are a great person and I'm glad to know you.
