Get to Know Your Neighbors!

We think it would be great if everyone got a chance to get to know some of the volunteers in the community and to find out why they love AW so much.

This month we meet Lady Calico also known as PK52.

PK Safety Tip: If you don't know who sent you an email don't open it. If you open it anyway absolutely never ever open an attachment if there is one. That's how just about everything bad will get into your computer. Never underestimate the underhandedness of spammers. (By the way, there isn't a guy in Africa with several millions dollars and actually wants to put it in your bank account.)

Lady Calico was introduced to AW by her son in 2001 (his name was G56 at that time) and she decided that it would be fun to try it. She became a citizen in September 2001.

She started training to become a Peacekeeper in June of 2002 and graduated in November of 2002 becoming a full Peacekeeper. When asked why she joined she said, "At the time I was not a good builder and I wanted to give back to AW the friendship and help that they gave me so I decided that to join the Peacekeepers would be a way that I could give back to AW. My favorite thing is helping people - giving them assistance and showing friendship." She patrols on Wednesday nights from 10pm to midnight VRT. Lady Calico is known within the Peacekeepers for her desire to assist on cases and support her team.

Besides being a PK she used to be involved in the Cy Awards, and was a member in AWRPG. She has a great build in AW at 24579S 24229W and likes people to visit.

Lady Calico has a life outside of AW with primary interests including Nascar, Tang Soo Do Karate, and Disc Golf. She loves going to Tennessee walking horse shows.

Her message to the citizens and Tourists of AW is simple. "Be true to thine ownself and have patience in learning and learn to accept the things you cannot change".
