AW Festival 2004 Theme Contest!

AWEC is busy planning AW Festival 2004! This year we will be celebrating 9 years of Activeworlds. Festival is planned to take place in late June or early July. An actual date will be announced soon.

Since Activeworlds would be nothing without its citizens, we would like you, the Community, to help us decide on a theme! We want you to submit Festival Themes. We will pick one of the submissions to use for this years festival. The winner will have their choice of a P-10/5 World for 6 months(hosting not included) or a 1 month citizen extension. Runner up will receive whichever prize is remaining. Please email your theme submission to awec@awcommunity.org. One entry per citizen. Please include your citizen name and number on your email. All entries should be received no later than April 25th.

Over 120 people attended least year's Festival opening. They were rewarded with an extra special surprise announced by AWI's Calpantera. 3D-Axis rotation, a long time wish list item, was enabled in Alpha World. The theme for last year's event was "Diversity", a tribute to what makes Activeworld's such an interesting place!

We hope to provide even more fun events and cool prizes this year! If you would like to help with this year's Festival or host your own Festival Event, please email us at awec@awcommunity.org for more information. Or feel free to telegram Meranna or OneSummer (AWEC Co-Directors) with any questions.

AWEC Bloom Into Spring Flower Hunt Winners

Over 47,000 total flowers visitors were picked by the 100+ visitors to AWEC world in last month's Bloom Into Spring Flower Hunt event! Now THAT would make a lot of potpourri! We would like to send our congratulations to the 3 winners, who found over 9000 flowers each.

  • 1st- Restless Mind, with a score of 9714
  • 2nd- White Tiger o, with a score of 9529
  • 3rd- Footrot, with a score of 9078

Thank you to all the participants in last month's event. Without you, events like this would not be possible. We would also like to send out our thanks to Andras, who was responsible for hiding 10,000 flowers for us. Does he have a green thumb or what?!
