We Want YOU!

Are you looking for ways you can become more involved in the Active Worlds community? There are a ton of organizations and activities that are looking for citizens just like you! Put your skills to work helping make Active Worlds the AWESOME community that it is. Here are just a few ways to get involved:

Active Worlds Games

Interested in helping coordinate, host or do behind the scenes work like building? We have a number of game worlds where we would like to conduct weekly/monthly events, contests and tournaments. AWSpades, AWTrivia, AWGames, AWChess, AWCheckers are just a few! Sound like fun? Drop me a line at: mountainmyst@activeworlds.com!

Active Worlds Event Committee

The AWEC is home to the Active Worlds Universe's Events Calendar, and hosts some of the best events and parties in the universe!

Active Worlds Community Register

The Active Worlds Community Register is a growing database of diverse towns, cities, worlds, and cultural groups that make up our unique community.

Alpha World Historical Society

The AWHS was established to help preserve and protect our incredible virtual past. Alpha World was the first virtual world on the internet, developed as a labor of love by virtual pioneers like you. The AWHS strives to remind us of how far we have come!

Active Worlds University

The AWU is the best place on the Net to learn about the Active Worlds Technology. From the beginning instruction offered in AWNewbie, to the advanced techniques and RWX Modelling and design offered by the University's staff, there's something for everyone.

The Cy Awards

Several times a year, our Active Worlds community gathers together to celebrate it's own citizens and their accomplishments and contributions to the growth of Active Worlds technically, socially, and spiritually.

Gate Keepers

The Gate Keepers are citizens of Active Worlds who volunteer their time helping new users of the system become familiar with the software, environment, and culture of Active Worlds.

Peacekeepers

The Peacekeepers are citizens of Active Worlds who volunteer their time assisting users in disputes and who try to prevent harassment of any user by others regardless of the form, be it verbal abuse, harassment, racism or vandalism.

AWSchool Instructors

AWSchool instructors offer basic building lessons for the new citizen as well as more advanced courses in most aspects of Active Worlds, specially designed for the not-so-new.

AW Guides

AW Tour Guides provide tours of worlds where users can learn to build. They also provide tours of buildings sites, cities, games, worlds and the art that other citizens have created with the tools Activeworlds has to offer.
